User Agreement
Meyy asks you to confirm these five points separately because they matter most to how you will use the product. Ticking them is part of your agreement.
The five points you confirm
1. Meyy is a teaching aid — it does not replace the textbook or you
Meyy is a supplementary lesson-planning and assessment tool. It does not replace the NCERT (or state board) textbook, the prescribed syllabus, or your school's requirements. You should continue to use the official textbook in your teaching. You remain the professional responsible for what is taught and assessed in your classroom. Meyy's period recommendations and annual budgets are Meyy's own estimates to help you plan — completing the syllabus on your board's and school's schedule remains your responsibility.
2. Meyy is not endorsed by NCERT, CBSE, or any government authority
Meyy is an independent product. It is not endorsed, certified, approved by, or affiliated with NCERT, CBSE, any state board, or the Ministry of Education. "NCF-aligned" and similar statements describe Meyy's own interpretation and design work based on publicly available framework documents — they are not an official certification. References to NCERT chapter names, sections, and examples are for navigation and teaching support only; Meyy is not a reproduction of, or substitute for, the NCERT textbook, which you should obtain separately.
3. Never enter students' personal information into Meyy
Meyy is built for you, not for student records. Do not enter any information that identifies a student — names, roll numbers, marks, health or family details — into chapter notes or any other input field. Meyy stores what you type on its servers, and reserves the right to delete student-identifying information if it is inadvertently submitted. This protects children under India's data-protection framework, and protects you.
4. Meyy's content is AI-assisted and may contain errors or change over time
Lesson plans and assessment items are authored with the help of AI models and reviewed processes. They may contain factual, pedagogical, or answer-key errors, and as underlying models and content libraries improve, outputs may change materially over time. Meyy's content is an assistive suggestion, not a guarantee — review it with your own professional judgement before teaching it. Meyy does not guarantee any particular examination result or learning outcome.
5. Your licence is personal; the trial defines your remedy
Your subscription is a personal licence to an individual teacher/user for use in your own teaching. You may not sell, redistribute, republish, or commercially exploit Meyy's plans, exports, or other proprietary material. Your account is between you and Meyy — it is not connected to your school or employer, and complying with your school's or organisation's internal policies is your responsibility. Because Meyy strongly recommends you use the free trial before subscribing (the trial gives real chapters with unlimited re-serves and no time limit), subscription refunds are considered only for verified technical failures or billing errors — not for dissatisfaction with content you were able to evaluate in the trial.
Full User Agreement
The sections below are the body of the full agreement the final tick accepts. Each expands the five acknowledgements plus the remaining standard terms.
A. Who we are, and who you are
- Contracting entity: Meyy (OPC) Private Limited, India.
- The user: an individual teacher/user (teacher, trainer, home-schooler, or other individual) subscribing in a personal capacity. Meyy does not currently offer school/enterprise accounts; if it does in future, those will be governed by separate terms or an addendum — nothing in this agreement binds your employer, and nothing your employer does binds this agreement.
- You must be 18 or older to use Meyy. By signing in and by accepting this agreement, you confirm that you are.
B. The service
- What Meyy does: NCF-informed lesson planning, period allocation, assessment items, chapter notes, progress tracking, exports (PDF/DOCX).
- Meyy's recommendations on the length of lesson plans are based on its own algorithm; you are free to use what you think is appropriate.
- Meyy is under active development; features may change, be added, or be withdrawn. No uptime or availability guarantee (no SLA) is offered at this stage. You can export your data at any time (Section G).
C. Trial, subscription, and billing
- Trial is strongly suggested before subscribing and is the best way to evaluate Meyy: all subject-stages, any 3 chapters, unlimited re-serves per chapter, no time limit.
- The free trial is once per mobile number. Deleting your account and signing up again does not start a new trial: the trial chapters already used on that number are still counted for 24 months after the deletion (see §G and the Privacy Notice §7).
- Billing unit: per teacher/user, per subject-stage (e.g. Science–Middle), unlimited plan serves within that scope.
- On subscription lapse: your prepared plans remain accessible; the progress tracker is suspended until renewal. Trial-exhausted accounts keep plans and tracker.
- Pricing may change with prior notice; changes never apply retroactively to a paid term.
D. Refunds
- Refunds are considered for verified technical failure (persistent inability to access paid features attributable to Meyy) and billing errors (e.g. double charge).
- Subjective dissatisfaction with content or pedagogy is not a refund ground, given the unrestricted free trial. Refund requests: within 1 week, with proof of the technical interruption, to support@meyy.in.
E. Intellectual property
- Meyy's engine, libraries, plans, mappings, and design are Meyy's proprietary material.
- You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use plans and exports in your own teaching. No resale, redistribution, or republication.
- Your own chapter notes are yours; you grant Meyy the licence needed to store and display them back to you.
- Meyy does not reproduce, host or distribute NCERT textbooks. Chapter names, section headings and page numbers are given only to help you find your way in your own copy of the textbook, which you should obtain separately. References to the National Curriculum Framework describe Meyy's own design work and are not an official endorsement.
- If you paste third-party content into Meyy, including pages copied from NCERT or other textbooks, you are responsible for having the right to use it (indemnity).
F. Your personal data
- How Meyy collects, uses, keeps and protects your personal data is set out in full in the Privacy Notice, which you are asked to read before you accept this agreement and which is always available under Settings › Legal.
- Meyy does not collect student personal data, and you agree not to enter any (Acknowledgement 3).
- Nothing you give Meyy is used to train an AI model.
- Questions, requests and grievances about your data go to the Grievance Officer, Meyy (OPC) Private Limited, at support@meyy.in (put Privacy in the subject line).
G. Your data rights (live today)
- Export: download everything Meyy holds about you as a single editable document, from Settings.
- Erase: delete your account and all personal state with typed confirmation; you receive an erasure receipt stating exactly what was removed and what was kept (shared, non-personal content libraries are not personal data and are retained).
- What survives an erase, and why: the record that you accepted this agreement — its version, the date, and which points you confirmed — is kept after your account is deleted, as evidence of the agreement itself. It holds no lesson plans, notes, teaching profile or school details. Statutory tax records for payments you made are kept for the period the law requires. So that the free trial stays once per number, a keyed one-way code made from your mobile number and the number of trial chapters it used are kept for 24 months — never the number itself, and nothing else. Everything else personal to you is removed, and backups are purged within 30 days.
- A kept record is not a continuing agreement. Your acceptance stands from the day you give it until your account is erased — across sign-outs and sessions, and whether or not you go on to subscribe. Erasing your account ends it. If you use Meyy again afterwards, you will be asked to read and accept the agreement afresh; the kept record remains only as evidence of what you agreed to before.
H. Acceptable use
- One account per teacher/user; keep your credentials to yourself.
- No scraping, bulk extraction, reverse engineering, or use of Meyy to build a competing dataset or service.
- No unlawful content in notes or inputs.
I. Liability
- To the extent permitted by Indian law, Meyy's liability is limited to the subscription fees paid in the 12 months preceding the claim; no liability for indirect or consequential loss, including examination or career outcomes.
- Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited under law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
J. Changes, governing law, disputes
- Meyy may update this agreement. Every new version is announced in the app. Where a change alters one of the five points you confirmed, you will be asked to confirm that point again before your next purchase. No change applies retroactively to a term you have already paid for.
- Governing law: India. Jurisdiction: Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
- Contact: support@meyy.in.
K. Marketing emails (optional)
- The optional box at the end of this agreement lets Meyy email you occasionally about new subjects, features and teaching resources. It is genuinely optional: leaving it unticked does not affect your trial, your subscription, or anything you can do in Meyy.
- Service emails are not marketing and are not covered by this choice. Meyy will still send invoices and payment confirmations, replies to your support messages, notices about changes to this agreement or your subscription, and anything required for security or by law.
- Email only. Meyy will not send marketing by SMS, WhatsApp or phone call, even though your mobile number is your sign-in. Any such channel would be asked for separately.
- Withdraw at any time — in Settings, or from the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. It takes effect immediately, needs no reason, and is as easy as giving it was.
- Your choice is stored with your account, appears in your data export, and is deleted when you erase your account.
Accepting this agreement
